Some BHK prices cut by $10-20/tonne in China in lead-up to APP's huge Sumatra mill startup

Several suppliers have cut prices for their bleached softwood and hardwood kraft (BSK and BHK) pulp in China, in attempts to boost business there in the face of soft demand. "Pulp ordered this month from North and South America will be delivered to China in October or later, when Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) is expected to start up its huge BHK mill in Indonesia," said a major Chinese buyer.
