Indian newsprint frm NEPA invests in new DIP line

Indian newsprint producer Nepa Paper has purchased a deinking pulp (DIP) line that will allow it to diversify its production into printing and writing paper grades. The 300 tonne per day DIP line, which is being sourced from Andritz, is due to start up in the middle of next year. Local reports indicate that out of Nepa’s 88,000 tonnes/yr of production currently devoted to newsprint, around 47,000 tonnes/yr will be shifted to print- ing and writing paper production.
