UPM starting up new 360,000 tonne/yr specialty and UFP paper machine in Changshu, China

UPM has kicked off trial runs on a new 360,000 tonne/yr specialty paper machine at its mill in Changshu city, Jiangsu province. The first sheet of paper rolled off the line on November 11 (No. 36, p. 1). The Voith unit is designed to produce labeling materials and uncoated woodfree specialty paper.
