Previous descriptions of the methods of radiation transport are generalized for two cases: small (order of unity) absorption coefficient and large coefficient with inhomogeneous distribution of absorbing atoms. Computation algorithms for the matrices equivalent to the integral operator of the radiation transport are deduced. The methods described are planned for future description of excited and resonance atoms in problems of self-consistent modeling of non-equilibrium plasmas of inert gas. The solution of the transport equation is illustrated by model examples of atom density computation typical for constricted discharge conditions and 'skin-effect' conditions with gas heating taken into account.
