Security at U.S. ports and on ships will be tightened under regulations the Coast Guard published July 1 (68 Fed. Reg. 39, 240). The Coast Guard issued six interim rules establishing regulations for maritime security in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists attacks.
