SIGMASOFT~R Virtual Molding is a well-established tool for the evaluation and optimisation of the Metal Injection Moulding processes. One of the key values describing the rheology of a pseudo plastic fluid is shear viscosity. For any process simulation, the characterisation of a polymer by viscosity using shear rate and temperature is essential to deliver reliable results. What is critical to understand, however, is how these values are measured.
