Local entries shine through at Anglesey Show

Overcoming the challenge of difficult breeding season conditions, the Best in Show and Reserve Champion at the 125th Anglesey County Show were described as "immaculate" by judges, who heaped praise on local exhibitor Matthew Barratt's Black German Langshan cock and Potteries-based John Corden's Barnevelder hen. The welcome at Sioe Flynyddol and the Poultry Section was unquestionably warm as, under the guiding hand of chief steward Dilwyn Green, a team of three judges - Dave Copas handling Soft Feather, Paul Fox on Hard Feather and Eggs, and Colin Wood on turkeys, waterfowl and local exhibitors - set to work.
