The compliance requirements with the European ATEX Directive 94/9/CE will create an enormous impact on the availability and use of explosion protection equipent and devices.The need for suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that equipment is safe for use in explosive envionments has become mandatory within the European market from July 1st 2003.If you design,manufacture or sell any equipment or protective system intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres compliance with the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC and the CE Marking Directive is a must.Plant managers and owners will be required to ensure the process and equipment is well documented and explosion hazards and solutions are documented and planned for.
