Ceramics is entering a new dimension.Nano and microstructure technoloogy is opening up new fields of applications for this ancient material.Supraconductors,carbon nanotubes and polymer ceramics are just a few examples of these revolutionary innovations.The approach is very much an interdisciplinary one,for expertise in ceramics has to be supplemented by expertise in chemistry,medicine,process technology,metallurgy and many other fields.
