The development of production technologies in chamotte refractories results in a considerable increase in the fine-grained material fraction and chamotte fraction. Thus the quantity of milled and transported aluminosilicate dust increases. For ecological reasons the complete air-tight sealing and automation of the production process is needed. In the paper the possible application of a jet mill in refractory plants is presented. The jet mill enables regulation of size distribution of the products and pneumatic conveying. In the paper the research results of aluminosilicate comminution in a jet mill with two counter-current ejectors, working in collaboration with a centrifugal dynamic classifier, are presented. Theoretical consideration as well as the research results show the possible application and the technical and economical advantages of using jet mill in the process of aluminosilicate preparation.
