This paper describes developments in metallic pigments for the mass pigmentation of polymers and introduces Silberline's product range.Factors controlling the appearance of metallic pigments in mass pigmented applications are outlined,together with techniques for optimisation.Special attention is paid to reproducing the appearance of a painted surface.The paper is supported by a set of 12 illustrations of some of the effects described.
