Plastics in food packaging for shelf life extension

摘要

Plastics have a unique combination of properties to meet every requirement of packaging industry including food industry.In this article the distinct advantages of plastics over the other materials,selection method,risk assessment by migration and permeability,its application in the form of films,new developments in packaging methods,and some of the common testing methods and applications are described in detail.
