Increasing concern has been expressed by environmentalists and public health Authorities about the escalation of plastics litter onland,insea and other eaterbodies.With it has comethe need to findmore effective ways of ealing with plastics waste and litter.Degradable plastics are of utmost imporance in light of this common concern.Essential requirements are that the degradation process should be controll able and thatit should lead to lower molar mass oxidation products which can be assimilated by microorganisms to give biomass and ultimately carbon dioxide and water.
