Bayer to restructure polycarbonate sheet activities; German facility to be shut

BAYER MaterialScience has announced worldwide consolidation of its plastic polycarbonate sheets business. As part of this restructuring, Bayer will close its site in Darmstadt, Germany. The closure in Darmstadt will affect 90 employees. European customers will be supplied in the future by the plants in Nera Montoro, Italy, and Tielt, Belgium, Bayer added.
