PPG to form fibreglass joint venture with Indian firm

US-BASED coatings and speciality products company PPG Industries has signed a letter of intent with India's Harsha Exito Engineering Private to form a 50:50 joint venture to manufacture and sell fibreglass reinforcement products. PPG vice-president Thomas Kerr said that the projected expansion of the Indian economy will help drive demand for fibreglass in infrastructure, transportation and wind energy.
