THE subject of this article includes several types of equipment that provide advanced Italian technology and quality standards. The following brief survey includes some recent de-velopments in gravimetric dosing units, hoppers and dehumidifying systems. To meet the need to quickly and accurately create blends with materials of different morphologies (powders, fibres, minces, granules, etc.), ENGIN PLAST has developed the P (powder) version of its Trio range of gravimetric dosers. This version was recently given to manufacturers of profiles looking for a solution that, unlike traditional ones, would permit the production of dry-blend using plant fibres or powders, ensuring high precision in dosing and in homogenisation of ingredients of the blend and high process repeatability.
