South Korea's SK Global to build petrochemical plant in Singapore

SOUTH Korean chemicals maker, SK Global Chemical, is set to begin construction of a $2.4-bn petrochemical plant on Singapore's Jurong Island. The new plant will produce around 2.6-mn tonnes of refined oil products, including civilian Jet A-l aircraft jet fuel and liquefied petroleum gas, and around 1.4-mn tonnes of chemicals such as paraxylene and benzene.
