Aluminium's good thermal conductivity, light weight and ability to be Cast into intricate, Complex Shapes makes it the most frequently used cavity material for the Rotational Moulding Process and Thermoforming Moulds.Aluminium cavities are cast in low-cost Sand (moisture free) or Plaster Moulds, using specialized foundry techniques. The Sand and Plaster Moulds are formed over patterns that duplicate the shape of the required part. The patterns can be made of any rigid materials such as Sand and Plaster of Paris or Hard Wood.
