Reliance Industries to invest Rs. 1 lakh crores over next five years

RELIANCE Industries Ltd. (RIL) plans to invest nearly Rs.l trillion ($18-bn) on expansion of its retail, petrochemical and telecom businesses in India over the next five years and targets to double profit during this period. "We will invest nearly Rs.l lakh crores (Rs.l trillion) over the next five years in India to build a stronger and more diversified Reliance," RIL Chairman, Mr. Mukesh Ambani said at the 38th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company recently.
