AIPMA calls for 10% export duty on polymers

THE All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA) has demanded export duty of 10 per cent on commodity polymers, one of the key raw materials for the industry. It has also sought to halve import duty on polymers to 2.5 per cent. In its pre-Budget memorandum submitted to the Government, the Association has demanded that the custom duty on naphtha to be reduced to zero, from 5 per cent currently.
