This year has been a positive year for the New Zealand pork industry with a number of highlights in various areas of operation. In 2006, we will be building on and expanding the successes achieved during the last year. One of the most significant achievements was the eventual sign-off by the Minister of Agriculture of the National Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (NAWAC) Code of Welfare for Pigs.
