Hatchery Tips: Careful attention paid to practical details, such as care of heaters, evaporative coolers, exhaust fans and humidifiers, can help boost productivity in the hatchery
Install quality fogging nozzles in incubators and hatchers. Humidity nozzles are extremely important in maintaining uniform temperatures. Nozzles should usually be replaced every four months. Do not operate the incubators and hatchers with the doors open for extended periods of time. Operating with the doors open only satisfies the thermostat conditions, not the temperature of the developing embryos. Air handling equipment should not move air more than fifty feet (15 metres) in any direction. Uniform conditions cannot be maintained when the air 'has to move further.
