Morocco: Update on statistics and industry infrastructure.

Both egg and broiler production are showing positive growth in Morocco. Between 1990 and 1994 egg output climbed from 1306 million to 1800m, while the corresponding figures for chicken slaughterings rose from 147,000 tons to 160,000 tons in 1994. Commercial production from modern farms has increased and currently represents nearly 70% of poultrymeat production. However, traditional (backyard) operations still represent 44% of all the eggs produced.
