Huntsman to build new 400 kt/y NIDI plant in Geismar

Huntsman announced that it has commenced preliminary engineering to expand production of MDI by investment in a new world-scale plant at its Geismar, LA, USA, site. Huntsman says the 400,000 t/y MDI expansion will leverage the advantages of the Geismar site, with its access to US shale gas, strong logistics base and integration.
