Saudi BOPP film market grows by 8% in 2011

Saudi Arabia's BOPP film market grew by 8% in 2011 reaching 30,000 tonnes and is forecast to increase by a further 2,000 tonnes in 2012. Demand has benefitted from new capacity coming on stream at some of the country's largest converters. Since the start of 2012, BOPP film sales have gone up in anticipation of further price increases following those which have already occurred and also as a result of stocks being run down in Q4, 2011. This is on top of continued real underlying growth.
