BOPP film prices up in Brazil during Q2, 2012

Prices paid for 20 micron plain co-extruded BOPP film have risen by up to 7% in US Dollar terms in Brazil during Q2, 2012 to US$2.80 – US$3.40 / kg. In local currency terms, the increase in some cases was 18% due to the fall in value of the Brazilian REAL against the US Dollar from around BRL 1.71 at the end of February 2012 to BRL2.03 at the end of May.
