Mondi Consumer Packaging reports strong 2016 1st half

1st half, 2016 EBITDA in Mondi Group's Consumer Packaging business increased by 20% to European dollar 100 million over the same period in the previous year, on external sales up 4.8% at European dollar 763 million. Underlying operating profit increased by 31% to European dollar 64 million, driven by strong volume growth. Sales volumes in the business grew across most product segments on a like-for-like basis, with especially strong growth in the high added-value segment of consumer laminates and bags.
