Cosmo Films to invest in new BOPP and CPP lines

In anticipation of strong growth in domestic and export demand for BOPP film, India's Cosmo Films is investing an estimated Rs 200 crore in new BOPP film capacity at its Karjan plant near Vadodara, bringing the company's total capacity to 200,000 tonnes per annum. The new Brückner 10.4m wide BOPP film line, which will add an additional 60kt to the manufacturer's existing capacity of 140kt per annum, is one of the most advanced production lines available, equipped with automated changeovers that will lead to increased efficiencies.
