Mars Wrigley plans new US$50 million Skittles production line at its Y orkville, IL facility

In order to meet growing demand for its Skittles confectionery brand, Mars Wrigley is investing US$50 million in a Skittles production line at its Yorkville, Illinois facility. The 145,000 square foot expansion, which is assisted by the state of Illinois, will create 75 new manufacturing jobs at the factory which currently produces other well known brands such as Juicy Fruit, Doublemint and Life Savers. Production is expected to commence by the end of 2015.
