The poultry industry and public engagement

The U.K.'s Royal Veterinary College threw its doors open to the public recently for what it called a "free evening of fun activities and hands-on science." The theme of the night was chickens.The RVC highlighted that visitors to the Night at the Vet College would be able to explore the links between dinosaurs and modern chickens, seehow its scientists are investigating chicken welfare and cognition, watch a demonstration of bird anatomy, meet chickens at the RVC farm, take a tour of the RVCs artist in residence, take part in a treasure hunt and art activities, and compete in a pub quiz to end the evening.
