摘要

Carbon dioxide, ammonia and carbon monoxide can cause discomfort and even be dangerous to the birds and workers in a broiler house. Dangerous levels can be prevented through proper ventilation but a compromise has to be reached in terms of maintaining adequate temperatures, especially when it is cold outside. Here are tips on providing an effective and energy-efficient system of control. In this article, I would like to emphasise two important X problems in poultry houses, namely carbon dioxide andammonia levels during the growing period. The effects of these two gases can be severe and lose the grower a large amount of money in terms of high mortality and/or poor growth.
