Making vetera-narians a career OF CHOICE

On 13 March 2015, the University of Pretoria Veterinary Faculty hosted one of the many student open daysit has held in its 107 years of existence. The Poultry Disease Management Agency (PDMA) was given the opportunity to share the information distribution stand with Production Animal Studies and Poultry Health section. Of course, the PDMA jumped at the opportunity.The university hosts student open days annually to showcase the capacity of the institution and the profession. Since the advent of our democracy, this event has never been more important than it is today, because it is an opportunity to expose a lot ofblack high school students to the veterinary profession, many of whom would never have had such an chance before.
