Let D and E be open subsets of R~(n + 1) which meet R~n * {0}, which E bounded and E-bar is contained in D, and let D_+ = D intersect (R~n *]0, infinity[). Given a non-negative supertemperature u on D_+, we express its restriction to E_+ as the sum of a temperature that vanishes at time 0, and potential on R~(n+1) that vanishes for all negative time. This enables us to use initial limit theorems about such potentials to prove similar results for u.
