Biaxplen begins production on new BOPP film line; new Megapolis line imminent

Russian BOPP film producer, Biaxplen has recently begun production on its new 8.2 metre wide, 31,000 tpa, Bruckner line at its Novokuybyshevsk (Samara region) plant. The new line is capable of producing up to 5-layer BOPP films and will be used to increase speciality film sales, including label films, in both local and export markets. The new line increases Biaxplen's total BOPP film capacity to around 178,000 tpa. with the company having installed a new 38,000 tpa. line in Tomsk late last year.
