The market for biocides used in paints and coatings remains highly competitive. Fortunately, the recent period of demand stagnation seems to be over and biocide manufacturers can look forward to modest growth in 2013 and for the next several years. The competition will remain fierce, though and biocide producers will continue to work to develop more effective and longer-lasting formulations and provide the extensive customer service that paint formula-tors have come to expect.
