Come closer. With this motto, BASF Coatings' interna-tional design team is presenting its global trend report. In the report, BASF's colour experts from Asia, North America and Europe provide a forecast of the automotive colours of the future. The prognosis is based on in-depth research on social developments and fashion trends. The BASF colour designers travel to key trade shows, for instance, in the textile and furniture sectors, in order to track down the trends of the future.For their investigation work on global developments, BASF Coatings' designers from North and South America, Asia and Europe work closely together. Thanks to global workshops and a constant, intensive exchange of ideas, they gain a differentiated and focused view on regional as well as global trends. However, these global trends are expressed by different colours, depending on the region. People from various regions have different colour perceptions that are influenced by culture. There is no one single global megatrend.
