Polymer Functionalisation Methods

摘要

The reaction of equimolecular amounts of 2,2,2-trifluoroacetophenone with anisole in the presence of several catalysts has been studied. The catalysts employed were methane sulfonic acid and trifluoromethane sulfonic acid. This functional monomer polyphenylene ether obtained, was then submitted to further condensation and functionalisation.
