A conference entitled Easy-to-clean/Self-cleaning Coatings will take place on 8-9 December 2009 in Berlin, Germany. Self-cleaning coatings often rely on control of morphology and nanostructure of surfaces and among the topics to be discussed are the design of super-hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces as well as the deployment of photocatalytic effects to create surface cleaning.
