摘要

The design and synthesis of new conjugated polymers has led to the development of various strategies for improving light harvesting to increase short circuit current; adjusting the highest unoccupied molecular orbital level of the polymer semiconductor; and enabling efficient charge separation and high photocurrent. These strategies include the development of donor-acceptor conjugated polymers to extend sunlight absorption; incorporating weak electron-donating groups or electron deficient moieties in the polymer backbone to give polymers with low-lying HOMO energy levels and enhance the open circuit voltage; and the use of various processing techniques, such as thermal annealing.
