摘要

Star polymers constitute the simplest form of branched polymers, where all the chains are linked to a central core. The architecture of these polymers can modify the polymer's physical and processing characteristics, by changing its melt, solution and solid state properties. In the last decade there have been significant advances in living radical polymerisation techniques and the development of click chemistry, which together have led to a paradigm shift toward the construction of complex polymer architectures and star polymers.
