Sulphur-functional graphenes as RAFT agents

Graphene has been reported to have extraordinary properties including high electron mobility at room temperature, high abrasion resistance and excellent thermal and environmental stability and consequently a wide range of applications using grapheme have been envisioned. Incorporation of even small amounts of grapheme in a polymer matrix may afford substantial matrix reinforcement, improved corrosion protection, flame retardancy and barrier properties. However, these nanocomposite properties are dependent on the quality of dispersion, interfacial adhesion and supramolecular graphene self-assembly to form carbon superstructures.
