Melt processable polyamides

Semi-aromatic and aromatic polyamides have many industrial applications; however, the melt processability of these materials is limited. The syntheses of a series of semi-aromatic polyamides via a high vacuum polycondensation of decanediamine with various aromatic acids (terephthalic, 4,4'-dicarboxylic ether and others) are presented.
