Biodegradable and biocompatible polyesters are frequendy prepared either via ring opening polymerisation or a condensation reaction. The use of aleuritic acid (a renewable resource) is common in the adhesives and plasticisers markets; however, there is little literature concerning the use of aleuritic acid as a monomer.
