Waterbome Coatings

摘要

Matt latex paints generally tend to exhibit low stain resistance due to highly porous and rough surface. By addition of hydrocarbon acrylic polymers and fluorine-containing monomers this property can be considerably improved. This study presents an acrylic fluorinated emulsion of a copolymer of butyl acrylate and perfluorobutyl ethylene which is subsequendy introduced to latex paint compositions to improve stain resistance and exhibit a good self cleaning behaviour due to substantially decreased surface energy.
