摘要

The hydroformylation of seed oil-based fatty acid methyl esters leads to aldehyde intermediates that can be hydrogenated to yield novel monomers that may be polymerised with low molecular weight diols to produce aliphatic polyesters with low viscosities. The seed oil polyester polyols may be formulated into environmentally friendly coatings with low volatile content and superior chemical and physical properties. Polyurethane waterborne dispersions with exceptional hydrolytic stability are reported.
