Poly(D,L-lactic acid)-co-poly(ethylene glycol) copolymer was synthesised by melt polycondensation and irradiated with low energy electron beam in the presence of triallyl cyanurate and tetraallyl pentaerythritol as crosslinking agents. The highest tensile strength has been obtained at an energy of 80 and respectively 60kGy and decreased with further increase of the dose. The elongation at break decreased with the increase in dose as well. An increase of T_g is revealed as a result of the formation of a molecular network. Also a decrease in degradation of the polymer has been reported. It is suggested that the physical properties of the polymer network may be controlled by the radiation dose variation.
