Hybrid nanocomposites from polyhedralsilsesquioxane and polyurethane acrylate are reported. They are prepared from polyurethane acrylate, free radical polymerised with polyhedralsilsesquioxane, by photo-polymerisation. Addition of polyhedralsilsesquioxane, resulted in improving the elasticity, glass transition temperature, thermal stability, dimensional stability of the fdms produced from the polyurethane acrylate. The presence of polyhedralsilsesquioxane had a reinforcing effect on the polymer. Over a certain concentration of polyhedralsilsesquioxane, the properties are lost as a result of aggregation of polyhedralsilsesquioxane particles.
