CURING TYPES Acrylic Poiymers

Polymerisation reactions were carried out on acrylic acid,acrylonitrile,2-hydroxyethyl acrylate,methyl methacrylate,in different conditions in order to explore the efficiency of the initiator.Results showed that the yield and type of products are related to the solubility of the initiator in monomers and the hydrophilic/ hydrophobic balance.The efficiency of the initiator has the same trend as the trend of hydophilicity of the monomers:HEMA>AA>AN>MMA.Results recommend the obtained radical as an interesting initiator for hydrophilic gel with good yields and short reaction times at 40-60°C.
