Silicones, Silanes, Silanols

摘要

Silanol surface-functionalised polymer latexes have been prepared in emulsion polymerisation using methacryloxy propyl trimethoxysilane (MPS), and characterised. It is shown here that the colloidal stability was highly dependent on both pH and on the nature of the surfactant.
