摘要

Epoxysilane-modified colloidal silica has been added to waterborne coatings formulations and coating performance has been studied.Although depending on binder and coating composition in general,hardness improvements have been noticed.Also higher hardness,the abrasion test has not been conclusive and the optical properties of the coatings such as gloss and clarity are not jeopardised,while the grain swelling on wood is kept in the same manner as for solventborne coatings.
